When Computers Crash
Well, I have been offline (as you no doubt have noticed) thanks to a computer crash. I am however back.... and can only say I hope dive computers do not run on Microsoft..can you just imagine the joy of being at 60 meters for your computer to blue screen on you ?
Liquid Edge (www.tekdiver.co.za) is fast becoming the leader in technical diving training and support, currently providing all levels of training (from nitrox to cave and trimix), in English or Afrikaans for open circuit or rebreather. LED is brought to you by Verna van Schaik (the current women's depth world record holder) and Gerhard du Preez (South Africa's only technical instructor across both TDI and IANTD and an avid deep explorer)
My claim to fame is the world record for the deepest dive by a woman (221 meters) set at Boesmansgat, a cave in the Northern Cape (South Africa).
My passion is exploration and not only underwater. Exploration is about fun and learning. It creates a level of empowerment in your life and finding and creating EMPOWERMENT is my true passion. Without it life is a series of inexplicable events that blow you were they may. With the ability to choose what you want and who you want to be you have control in any moment of any day.
Which is why I had to find out what my world record meant. The answer ? Mastery of Myself. Imagine what your life would be like if you had complete control over your actions ? Imagine how your life would change if you changed how you reacted, how you behaved ? Now, what if changing your behaviour is something as simple as a conscious choice ? Something that does not require your thoughts and emotions to be aligned ? Imagine who you could be if you could Master Yourself ?
